| The past couple of weeks have been completely insane. My life is changing, so quickly, and so dramatically.
Last week, the school board called, and I got offered a job! I am now officially a 5th grade teacher at Williams Elementary. I am so excited. It is at the school I interned at and with the kids I interned with!! Could it be any more perfect?! I will be teaching primarily reading and math.
This past weekend Jay and I went to Jupiter for the weekend to transport the wedding stuff down, and to get our marriade liscense!! It was so crazy, standing there, ssigning the paperwork and discussing name changes and whatnot. The weekend was also bittersweet in the sense that Jya's grandmother only has less than a month to live, so it was kind of a saying goodbye type of interaction when we visited her. She was just giving us boxes and boxes of her stuff and it was hard to take it from her.
On Monday, I had went to the School Board's New Employee Orientation. It was a very long and involved day. I had to sit through, and sweat through the benefits portion. Don't get me wrong, I am THRILLED that I will be getting benefits, but I DO NOT feel anywhere near adult enough to be choosing different insurance plans, benefactors of life insurance, etc. I also got fingerprinted and photgraphed for my ID card. Yay!!
Tommorrow I will take my LAST final of my Last class of college!! Yippe!! I told myself that I was not going to even care about the final, because all I need is like the lowest C possible to get an A, but my overachieving self still feels compelled to study and study hard.
On Friday I will be on a plane home for two weeks. I feel conflicted. I am SO excited to be able to go home and and spend time with my family and relax, but I have so much to do in the appartment, since we are moving into our new apt in a month!

| So life seems to be settling in...yes, I am growing up, and not quite so sure how I really feel about that.
Last Friday Jay and I signed out lease on our first apt as a married couple! We are moving into the Laurels in August! Granted it is going to suck moving in 24 hours, but hey, we have done worse. I am soo excited. The two bedrooms are cute -- and we have a lil patio, and are very own washer and dryer! Yay!!
The job front is looking more promising, actually a lot more promising. I met with the principal of the school I interned at today, and am basically being courted for two positions. She told me that the district can't officially offer jobs until next Monday, but that she wants me teaching at the school in some capacity, and to start pro and conning the two positions. So, we shall see.
The wedding...IS SO CLOSE!! We have most of the rsvps returned. Still a few not returned even though Sat was the deadline...can you explain to me what is so hard about responding?! Geez! I am getting soo excited. 44 days left! I have been practicing the whole new signature, but am still not so thrilled with it. We are navigating through music choices, practicing dancing, just basically sitting and waiting. I cannot wait for the day to come - the beachy ceremony, and the beachy party afterwards!! Yay for summer lovin:)

| It's been one helluva day! After going to class, running around like a mad woman, doing horrible assessment homework (and confrenece calling about it with a study buddy), completing a lil cleaning, and making two more pairs of supercute flip flops, ( Cute footwear ), I treated myself and gave me a super cute, super summer-esque pedicure. ( Your toes are jealous ).
In the wedding world, Jay and I made an appointment to go get our marriage liscense Father's day weekend. I am excited because it is one step closer to being official...oh and I get to go to the beach and possibly out on the boat!! Hehe. I love going home (clarification - my original home).
Speaking of going home, I will be going home (to CT) the end of June to see my hairstylist for one more prewedding cut and to get my hair highlighted. Yes, that is the MAIN reason I am going home. If you had tempermental hair and a stylist that can made it look perfect, you'd fly home to get it done too!! Okay, so maybe I'm weird - whatever - Chrissy is a god in the hair world!

| Okay, so I accidentally hit save before I finished....so here are so more pictorials of the wedding. :)( Wedding fun )
The two showers were super fun. The ( Jupiter Shower ) was a lot of fun. Super girly - think pink and white and flowers. A little controversial with a certain "How well do you know the groom" question, but whatever..I am not bitter :) My girls did a wonderful job!! The ( Tea Party Shower ) in Lakeland was a different pace, but also enjoyable. Everyone got fun hats (I wore one of my own w/o knowing, had yummy tea and food, and had a proper girls fun :) The two in Connecticut are going to be different and fun as well. One is beach themed, with the ladies my mom and I work/worked with, and one of the activities is decorating flip flops!! The other, with the sports team moms is at a sports bar and is just laid back and chill. I feel so loved by all! Yay

| So...I have been ridiculed by some about my lack of posting...so here goes an update.
Wedding Plans -- going swimmingly. Well, actually they are done!! The only thing we really have left to do is design the program and get our marriage liscense. Oh yeah, and show up! :) It's kinda weird that it is less than two months away! I am so excited! The ceremony on the beach is going to be beautiful! And the reception site -- I love it! It is a blank canvas, and once we open all of the windows on two sides of it, all we have is a view of the ocean! And, I will be dancing the night away in these cute flip flops.. ( Read more... ) I made them! I have cute starfish beaded sandals for the ceremony, but I needed some comfy ones for the ceremony! I cann ot wait for the day.
I have had two wonderful showers! And I have two more to attend in Connecticut!! Party haven. My only gripe is the constant writing of thank you cards I feel like I am doing! Oh well, comes with the territory I guess. | | comments: Leave a comment |

In April I saved a busload of nuns in Angola (326 points). Last Friday on a flight to Colorado Springs, I stole the emergency flight information card (-40 points). Last Thursday hypec and I donated clothes to the needy (11 points). In November I bought porn for starryphate (10 points).
Overall, I've been nice (607 points). For Christmas I deserve a toy train!
